Hemp & CBD FAQs

What is Hemp?

  • Hemp, or industrial hemp, is defined by the 2014 US Farm Bill as plants of the cannabis sativa species that contain ≤0.3% THC, making their extracts non-psychoactive and legal.
  • Hemp is very sustainable and renewable; just 13 weeks to maturity. It can be refined into countless commercial items, including food, paper, textiles, clothing, biodegradable plastics, animal feed, insulation, biofuel and more.
  • Whole-Spectrum Hemp Extract contains CBD, along with numerous other cannabinoids as well as flavonoids, terpenoids and other compounds found naturally in the hemp plant. These compounds each offer benefits of their own, while potentiating and enhancing the effects of the other compounds present to nurture the endocannabinoid system; this is commonly referred to as the entourage effect.

What is the ECS?

The endocannabinoid system (ECS) is a large network of receptors and transmitters found throughout our bodies that has been shown to regulate numerous systems and functions. Cannabinoids are compounds that interact with ECS receptors to promote homeostasis (balance) within these systems. Endocannabinoids occur naturally in the body, while phytocannabinoids, such as CBD and many others found in Whole-Spectrum Hemp Extract, occur naturally in the hemp plant. A daily regimen of Kingdom Harvest Sublingual Oil can nourish the ECS and promote balance and well-being.

What is Whole-Spectrum Hemp Extract?

  • Whole-Spectrum Hemp Extract is the combination of multiple extracts from the industrial hemp plant, each minimally refined and each providing a substantially different fraction of the phytonutrients found within the plant.
  • To make our Whole-Spectrum Hemp Extract, we start with the whole hemp flower grown at the Kingdom of the Happy Land. The flower of the hemp plant contains the greatest concentration of naturally occurring cannabinoids and other valuable phytonutrients. We take the flower through different processes, producing multiple extracts, each with their own unique qualities. Each extract is a “full-spectrum” extract, meaning it contains a broad array of the naturally occurring compounds from the plant, not a highly refined fraction or isolated molecule. We carefully select the conditions of each process to bring out a different spectrum of compounds from the plant and then combine those extracts in specific formulations for each of our final products. We developed our process to provide the greatest potential benefit from the plant while preserving raw qualities of the plant that are easily modified or lost entirely.
  • We use ethanol, the alcohol found in beer, wine and spirits, to make our extracts for our Whole-Spectrum Hemp Extract. Ethanol is plant-based, made through the natural process of fermentation of sugars. Ethanol has a rich history in herbal preparations stemming from its powerful ability to extract a broad array of compounds from plant materials. Using gentle heat and vacuum, the ethanol is removed from our extracts and recovered to be used again. Our extracts are blended into our final products, standardized on total naturally occurring cannabinoid content. We test our products at multiple stages within our process using ProVerde Laboratories (an independent, third-party laboratory) for potency, purity and safety.

Will I fail a drug test after taking your products?

Due to the natural composition of industrial hemp, there is a chance that consuming products derived from this plant could trigger a positive drug test. Please consult with your employer and/or doctor if this is a concern.

May I see an analysis of your product?

Yes, please contact us at info@KingdomHarvest.com for our third-party laboratory results.

Why don't you make health claims about your product?

Our products have not been evaluated by the US Food and Drug Administration, and we cannot legally make any specific health claims. We do, however, strongly encourage everyone to research the benefits of hemp extracts and their contents. There are many quality resources that have assembled libraries of peer-reviewed research and other information. Please be sure that the information you rely on is rooted in science and properly cited. One such resource is www.projectCBD.org.

How do I qualify to be a retailer of Kingdom Harvest products?
